Rami Khouri on the Middle East

Born in New York City, Khouri has passports from Jordan and the United States, and he lives in Beirut.

Khouri is a senior fellow at the American University of Beirut and a non-resident senior fellow at Harvard. He writes an internationally syndicated political column, and is a columnist and editor at large for The Daily Star newspaper in Beirut.

An author of books and newspaper and magazine articles, Khouri was awarded the Pax Christi International Peace Prize for 2006.

He has been a fellow and visiting scholar at Harvard, Princeton, Mount Holyoke, Syracuse University, Tufts, the University of Oklahoma and Stanford, and was a member of the Brookings Institution Task Force on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World.
